Activities in 2007

In the Gallery of Belgarde Heritage House in Knez Mihailova 46 str during 2007 following programmes were organized:

• Night in Legacy - selection of works from legacies bequeathed in 2006 , May - August. Exhibition was opened in the Night of Museums, 19th May 2007. Exhibition included selection of works from Olga Jevrić, Milenko Šerbana i Milena Jeftić Ničeve Kostić who had bequathed their works in 2006.

This exhibition was presented as a specific model and example of contemporary aproach in work with bequests. During The Night of Museums around 10.000 people had seen the exhibition.

Story about Veljko and Mara Petrović, their home and items that Belgarde Heritage House is taking after is presented in a modern, new way.

Activities in 2005

• The 46th October salon was opened and held in the Belgrade Heritage House building in 46 Knez Mihailova Street.
• The Commission for determining criteria for reception of future gifts has adopted a draft of the Guidelines for reception of new gifts, in December 2005. In 2006, the
  Commission will resume work and research international regulation of this area.
• Legal and expert analysis of bequests presented to the City of Belgrade has been conducted.
• Creation of the Documentation Center has begun.
• Negotiations with several potential benefactors who wish to bequeath their collections to the City of Belgrade and the Belgrade Heritage House.
• Completion of work on the façade of the building in Knez Mihailova No. 46, as part of the "More beautiful Belgrade" initiative, organized by the Secretariat for Communal Affairs, Culture Secretariat and UNDP.

The October Salon has become a refent point of the serbian culture, a representive review of artists in the wide range of visual arts and huge author's exhibition in which selectors are experts in this field.

During its history the salon has changed the concept and organization, but remained a strong chalange of the creative consciousness.
